Coffs Harbor Beach

Coffs Harbour main beach is also known as Park beach. This beach is the main beach for over 60,000 residents. In the summer this beach is patrolled by a lifeguard. This beach is also home to Coffs Harbour surf life saving club. This area is very popular for water sports, such as jet skiing, surfing and kite surfing. Everyone can swim at this beach, but this beach is prone to strong rips, so precaution should be taken. There is a lake under the bridge which is advised for children to have a paddle in due to its calmness. Fishing is permitted and can also be enjoy from Mutton bird island. There are lovely facilities here which should be taken advantage of such as toilets, showers, bbq facilities large open spaces, and picnic tables. There is a large children’s play area which is sheltered creating shade. Unfortunately dogs are not permitted on this beach, however if you go down to south park beach, there is times dogs are allowed of the leash.
There is lots of parking although it can get busy.

This beach is very close to park beach plaza, which consists of numerous clothing shops, supermarkets, food hall, restaurants and cafes such as sumo salad, muffin break, boost, monk fish, McDonalds, KFC and many more venues.

Coffs Harbour main beach holds Twilight food markets which are held every Friday night throughout the months of October till April 5pm til 9pm. This gives local business the opportunities to showcase their favorite dishes. This is a great place for everyone to enjoy live music, have picnic on the grass and let the children play in the children’s area.
