Emerald Beach

Emerald beach is the home to many kangaroos families, there is no doubt when visiting you will see them relaxing in the sun. Why not take a walk around the stunning headland and admire the breathtaking scenery.

Emerald beach is south of Woolgoolga and 15 minutes drive north to of Coffs Harbour. Catching a surf at Emerald is very popular due to its excellent break. At the back of Emerald beach is a well known place called Shelly beach, this holds a pristine reputation for a fantastic surf. Many tourist travel from a far to come to this beach for its peaceful atmosphere and beautiful views.

Fishing is permitted at this beach and is very popular for people to come for a flick off the rocks. Emerald beach is a perfect location with perfect conditions for both activities. At the back of this beach there is a lots of parking, however, over the weekend it becomes very busy so you may want to get to the beach early.

This beach is know to be safe for swimming and an ideal place for families to enjoy a day out. There are cold showers, toilets, and drinking water available at this beach. There is a wonderful child’s shaded play area right upon the beach which has lots of different things for your the children to play on.

This beach has a lovely picnic area, with lots of seating, bbq facilities so you can decide to cook your own lunch or if you do not fancy cooking why not try Emeralds tasty cafes, which are located only a short walk from the beach. Surf street cafe has ocean views and caters for breakfast and lunch and dinner offering live music on Friday and Saturday.

Emerald beach also has a bottle shop, where you can enjoy a cold beverage and watch the sunset. Emerald beach pizza and pasta which offers delicious takeaway and La Hacienda which is a 30 seat causal Mexican restaurant which is very popular for its home cooked meals and Mexican styled themed cocktails. If your down on the Coffs coast, Emerald beach is definitely one beach worth checking out.
