Why not come visit Sawtell beachside community. Satwell has a picturesque beach which is famous for holding different surf competitions. This beach has amazing surf and is patrolled daily in the summer. Swimming is permitted on this beach, however, precautions should be taken as this beach is known for rips, littoral currents, flash rips and travelling rips. Fishing is permitted on this beach and if walk down the beach and go towards Boambee head it offers a rock outcrop which is perfect for fishing. There is also a boat ramp at Satwell if you wanted to take your fishing to a new level and get out in the deep ocean. Are you thinking is there something for the children, Well yes there is a shaded play area next to the beach if the children have finishing making there sand castles.

Satwell has lots of amenities for everyone to enjoy, including cold, showers, toilets, bbq facilities and picnic area. There is lots parking available too.

There is a wide range of shops, cafes and restaurants in Satwell. The kiosk at the beach is on main beach and offers a range of breakfast and lunch options with coffee, juices and other beverages. Also in Satwell if we are looking for a casual bite places recommended are Sea salt fish and chips, Cafe treeo and Sawtell surf club. There is also a number of smaller venues are available. If we are looking to venture out for dinner, Spare room, lime Mexican, and 63 First Ave are rated 4 stars and above on tTripadvisor.

Satwell is also known for its shopping, why not check out some of the boutique stores such as lily and fox boutiques, la dains designs and many more. Satwell does also offer a butcher, fresh fruit and veg shop and other stores.
