Woolgoolga Main Beach

Woolgoolga main beach is a wonderful spot for families to enjoy the calm ocean and spend quality time with everyone. This beach is patrolled by lifeguards every day, and has safe swimming in between the flags. There is a surf life saving club directly on the beach.

If you go for a stroll on the beach, and walk around 5km you will reach Safety beach, but before you reach Safety you will reach Woolgoolga lake where you will find the iconic ship wreck the buster which attracts tourists to view and is perfect place for the children to have a shallow paddled and adventure on kayaks without any major worry of currents or rips.

Woolgoolga main beach offers a boat ramp which most people use to catch some fish. Fishing is permitted on this beach and many people have caught some rather large fish. Surfing on main beach is perfect on certain conditions, but is usually calm due to protection from the large headlands. This beach offers some shade, which is located at the top of the beach under the trees. Just before you reach the beach you will find all the facilities such as cold showers, toilets and drinking water, this is located just before you head down to the beach.

This beach is a no leash zone for dogs, so they can have free range to run around and splash in the ocean. If the children have had enough of the beach there is a large play area overlooking the beach to keep the children entertained. If the family starts getting hungry their are bbq’s and picnic seating under the shade for the families to enjoy.

Alternatively there are many restaurants and cafes just a short walk from the beach like Beach house cafe, Bluebottles brasserie and Anchor Kitchen and Bar. Anchor is restaurant that caters for breakfast, lunch and dinner, has a large outdoor seating area, fresh seafood, child friendly, dog friendly, daily special offers, live music on Friday, saturday and sunday and has 5* on trip advisor.
